We are seeking a hands‑on Electronics Technician to support the build, test and fault‑finding of advanced low‑volume vehicles. Working within a fast‑paced prototype and development environment, you will be involved in electronics assembly, diagnostics, soldering, and wiring loom creation and repair.
The Electronics Technician will:
- Assemble electronic sub‑systems to engineering drawings, schematics and CAD‑based assembly documentation
- Carry out precision soldering at PCB and loom level in line with IPC standards
- Build, modify and repair LV and HV wiring looms for prototype vehicle development
- Perform diagnostics and fault‑finding using multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators and power supplies
- Support vehicle integration activities, including electrical installation, routing and connector setting‑in
- Assist with root cause analysis and resolution of electrical and electronics issues
The Electronics Technician will have:
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (IMI or City & Guilds Level 4 advantageous)
- Hands‑on experience in electronics assembly, diagnostics and repair within automotive, motorsport, aerospace or similar environments
- Proven experience with precision soldering (PCB and loom‑level) to IPC standards
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and CAD models for build navigation
- Experience working with LV and HV looms, soldering, diagnostics and in‑vehicle electrical fault‑finding
- Proficiency with MS Office and industry‑standard diagnostic software
