Role context
Accenture Software & Platform Engineering is over 1,000 people strong and provides end-to-end product engineering solutions which deliver tangible value, fast. We bring together an obsession for technical excellence with agility and scale, to help clients move from project to product at speed. We work with clients in every sector, from scale-ups to national and international blue-chip names and public sector organisations. Our teams routinely work on products used by millions of people. We offer an exciting career in a vibrant environment with access to training and a global network of experts.
What you will do
As part of our Software & Platform Engineering team, you’ll work with cutting-edge technologies and develop a wide range of new skills on the job. In our team you will work hand-in-hand with clients to build great digital products for them and their customers. You will be an experienced, capable engineer who can deploy hands-on mastery and also lead others in doing so. The nature of our work varies by client, offering opportunities to experience new domains and stacks. This role often involves leading client accounts holistically—people, delivery, quality, and commercials. You’ll help ensure we’re delivering great engineering while keeping the big picture in mind and helping clients use consultancy capabilities to reach their goals sooner. Our engineers focus on value, propose thoughtful solutions, and work with low complexity. You’ll be a key advocate for this approach within the team. Beyond client work, you’ll contribute to internal and regional engineering communities, shaping conversations around technologies you’re interested in, sharing knowledge, and learning from colleagues in diverse problem spaces.
Qualifications and experience
- You have proven leadership experience, typically managing teams of 5–10 people, with a strong focus on developing and supporting others.
- You’re highly comfortable in client-facing roles, building trusted relationships with stakeholders and delivering against clear expectations.
- You bring solid full-stack engineering experience (not purely front end or back end), working across the full development lifecycle.
- Your core technology experience includes React, Node.js, Python, and Java.
- You have hands-on cloud experience, designing and delivering solutions on AWS and/or Azure.
- AI experience is essential: you have a proven AI skillset demonstrated through certification and/or real delivery experience.
- You have contributed to architectural and technical design decisions, helping shape scalable and robust solutions.
- You enjoy collaborating in an open, egoless way and are adaptable, comfortable with change, and motivated to keep learning to deliver the best outcomes for clients.
