ACCOUNT MANAGER: F1/MOTORSPORT COMMS

Company: Crunch

Location: Wimbledon

Posted: April 16th, 2026

Crunch is a leading motorsport consultancy, working with some of the biggest brands in the sport and the world.

We are different and we’re proud of it. People who know us all comment on how we’re... well, different. There’s being different for the sake of it. There’s being different to stand out from the crowd and there’s being different because you’re brave enough to trust yourself and be who you want to be.

We believe that deep within the heart of sponsorship activation lies one key ingredient: brave, confident people. People are the lifeblood of sponsorship. The fans, the readers, the viewers, the players, the drivers, the mums and dads, the media, the clients and the customers.

It was a conversation in London in 2008 from which the company was founded and since that fateful evening we have been on a mission to deliver braver sponsorship activation that gets the blood pumping and delivers tangible results.

Crunch: Be Brave.

Overall job description:

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and delivering communications and PR programmes for high-profile brands or organisations ideally within the motorsport or automotive sectors.

They will thrive as the central member in the comms team, adeptly multitasking across several projects in a fast-paced environment, while demonstrating exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

This role will initially focus on working on one of the agency’s largest motorsport accounts, which demands world-class execution. It requires a high volume of written content and hands-on event activation, with the candidate having full quality control over output. Therefore, attention to detail and precision are paramount.

The applicant should be confident in writing press releases, developing press packs and content and overseeing all aspects of media relations including direct media liaison. Established global media contacts within motorsport would be a significant advantage.

A deep interest in the sports news agenda, media trends, including social media platforms, is crucial and experience in media analysis and measurement - both traditional and digital - would be beneficial.

As part of a small team delivering globally, a willingness to be involved in every element of the programme both on and off-site, is essential. An energetic, enthusiastic and ‘can do’ team attitude is critical, as well as the ability to work under minimum supervision, leading a team in a high-pressured environment such as at an event during a race weekend while continuing to bring an energetic, enthusiastic and proactive team attitude.

Reporting to the senior account team, the candidate will also be responsible for overseeing junior team members and managing their workload where needed.
