Role overview
The Business Development Consultant will play a key role in supporting regional sales activity and managing strategic client relationships. Working closely with Business Development Managers (BDMs), you will help drive new business opportunities, strengthen existing partnerships, and ensure an exceptional level of client service across the full lifecycle of the relationship. This role combines proactive sales support, relationship management, and operational coordination to ensure clients receive a seamless and high-quality experience.
About the Role
- Prepare pitch materials, collateral, and briefing packs for client meetings
- Manage follow-ups, onboarding, and ongoing client communication
- Conduct due diligence and identify new or re-engagement opportunities
- Coordinate internal teams to deliver client requirements and resolve issues
- Maintain accurate CRM records and monitor client activity for insights
- Represent the business at events while building strong client relationships
About You
- Proven experience in client-facing sales, account management, or business development within financial services
- Strong understanding of the UK retail financial advice market and adviser landscape
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to tailor solutions to clients
- Commercially aware, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and driving revenue growth
- Experience working in regulated environments, with a strong commitment to compliance and customer outcomes
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and collaborative, with strong attention to detail and accountability
