Head of Region (Midlands & South)

This role offers the chance to lead a high-impact regional business with full responsibility for growth, profitability and client excellence across the Midlands and South of England. You will set the strategic direction for market‑leading credit solutions, build senior client and market relationships, and represent Aon as a visible leader with clients, prospects, insurers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow Aon Credit Solutions in Birmingham and Reading offices, balancing commercial growth, client excellence and people leadership.
  • Set the strategic direction for delivering market‑leading credit solutions to domestic corporates, multinationals and financial institutions.
  • Represent Aon with key clients and stakeholders across the Midlands and South regions.
  • Drive profitable growth, innovation, and collaboration across product lines and with other Aon teams.
  • Own and deliver the regional P&L, driving sustainable revenue and margin growth through portfolio management.
  • Build and develop a high‑performing, client‑centric regional team, maintaining an inclusive culture.
  • Partner closely with the ACS National Leadership Team, UK peers and cross‑functional colleagues to exploit cross‑solution value.

What the Day Will Look Like

  • Provide clear and visible leadership to colleagues in Reading and Birmingham offices.
  • Represent Aon with key clients and stakeholders across the region.
  • Drive profitable growth, innovation and collaboration across product lines.
  • Own the regional P&L, delivering sustainable revenue and margin growth.
  • Implement the regional growth strategy and identify areas of highest value creation.
  • Lead senior client engagement, building and deepening C‑suite relationships, steering complex renewals and negotiations.
  • Embed the ACS service model and promote the full ACS proposition, including Working Capital 360, to increase product density.
  • Motivate and develop a high‑performing, client‑centric team.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders across Aon’s broader business to unlock cross‑solution value for clients.

Skills and Experience

  • Leadership experience with P&L ownership.
  • Proven track record of driving growth, client retention and commercial performance.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with C‑suite clients, insurers and internal stakeholders.
  • People leadership capability, building engaged, high‑performing teams.
  • Deep understanding of credit, risk or financial solutions markets and credibility to influence at executive level.
