Executive Director of Place, Economy & Environment
This position leads strategic planning, regeneration, economic development, transport, environmental services, waste management, property and facilities management for West Northamptonshire Council.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the council’s vision for a Thriving Place.
- Shape the devolution journey and strengthen the council’s position as a leading stakeholder.
- Plan and drive major regeneration projects across towns and centres.
- Attract investment to boost productivity and jobs, and grow the visitor economy.
- Lead environmental improvements to make communities cleaner, greener, and healthier.
- Collaborate with partners including government, universities, and businesses, and serve on the board at Silverstone.
Qualifications & Experience
- Extensive senior leadership experience within a large and complex organisation.
- Commercially and politically astute with a proven ability to build powerful partnerships.
- Strong capability to navigate complexity, linking strategy to delivery.
- Excellent leadership, energy, clarity, and purpose to shape organisational success.
