Operations Manager/Director

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious operations leader to join a fast-growing specialist UK manufacturer in Runcorn.

The business produces innovative and sustainable synthetic timber products from recycled plastic. With a strong sales pipeline and ambitious expansion plans, it is looking for a driven individual to take full ownership of site operations.

Reporting to the board of directors, this is a pivotal leadership role with responsibility for:

• Managing all day-to-day manufacturing and site operations
• Production planning, scheduling, and capacity management
• Driving process improvement and operational efficiency
• Introducing new products into manufacture
• Leading production teams
• Building strong customer relationships and ensuring service excellence

This role offers genuine long-term progression: as the business grows, the successful candidate will be expected to develop into a broader general management role with increasing responsibility for commercial and financial performance.

Ideal candidates will have manufacturing operations experience, strong leadership capability, and the ambition to scale a growing SME business.
