Solution Architect (DV)

Job Description

Role Location – Southwest, must be willing to travel to client sites throughout the UK on an ad hoc basis.

Salary: Competitive (based on experience)

Level: Specialist level

Please Note: Any offer of employment is subject to satisfactory BPSS and SC+ security clearance which typically requires 10 years continuous UK address history, no periods of 30 consecutive days or more spent outside of the UK, and declaration of being a British passport holder with no dual nationality at the point of application.

Responsibilities

• Define creative solutions for business problems, holistically addressing functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Define the architectural roadmaps for systems and business services.
• Effectively describe solutions using industry‑standard modelling notations.
• Define and document standards and guidelines to direct the solution delivery.
• Ensure that the finished product conforms to the architectural principles and standards.
• Contribute to the practice development through thought leadership and development of innovative services and offerings.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of open source, open standards and cloud technologies.
• Good understanding of architectural concepts, methodologies and approaches.
• Excellent working knowledge of design patterns and modelling notations such as ArchiMate, UML and BPMN.
• Good knowledge of integration techniques, architecture patterns and non‑functional drivers.
• Experience of leading development teams from a design and technical basis.
• Quality Assurance skills to assess the quality and completeness of deliverables.
• Knowledge and demonstrable experience of both traditional and agile delivery methods.
