Digital Solutions Architect

Do you have proven experience in digital solution architecture across complex enterprise environments? Do you have experience in translating business requirements into technical roadmaps and solution designs? Join our OFSE Team!

Our Oilfield Services and Equipment (OFSE) business provides intelligent connected technologies to monitor and control our energy extraction assets. Our Sales team works in partnership with our business partners to build loyalty and develop sales growth, ensuring the business’ success by building trusted relationships and understanding our partners.

The Digital Solutions Architect is responsible for technical solution design, feasibility validation, and architecture integrity of Digital offerings for a specific OFSE Segment within an assigned geography. Aligned to the Segment and working in close partnership with Digital Sales Representatives, this role ensures that Digital solutions proposed to customers are technically sound, scalable, deployable, and aligned with standard offer guardrails. The Solutions Architect plays a critical role in enabling conversion, reducing execution risk, and ensuring successful customer deployment and adoption. The role acts as the technical authority and design steward across the Digital sales lifecycle—from opportunity qualification through deployment handover—ensuring that customer requirements are translated into robust, supportable Digital architectures.

Solution Architecture & Technical Design

  • Owning the technical architecture and solution design for Digital opportunities within the assigned Segment.
  • Translating customer operational and business requirements into end‑to‑end Digital solution architectures aligned with Segment standards and approved offerings.
  • Ensuring solutions comply with Digital product roadmaps, cybersecurity, data governance, and deployment standards.

Feasibility Validation & Deal Support

  • Leading technical feasibility assessments, including validation of scope, integration requirements, timelines, and deployment complexity.
  • Accepting or rejecting solution feasibility based on technical readiness, standardization, and delivery risk.
  • Defining and documenting technical flags, constraints, and non‑standard elements requiring escalation or exception approval.
  • Supporting Digital Sales Representatives during customer workshops, demos, pilots, and technical deep dives.

Cross Functional & Deployment Collaboration

  • Working closely with Segment Engineering, Deployment, Customer Success, and Digital Product teams to ensure seamless transition from sale to execution.
  • Providing clear technical inputs to deployment planning, resourcing, and handover documentation.
  • Acting as the technical escalation point during pre‑deployment and early execution phases, ensuring solution integrity is maintained.

Standardization, Optimization & Reuse

  • Driving adoption of standard Digital architectures and reusable solution patterns to improve speed, scalability, and margin.
  • Identifying opportunities to simplify architectures, reduce customization, and improve deployment repeatability.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of reference architectures, technical playbooks, and solution documentation.

Qualifications

  • Have Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
  • Have relevant years of experience in Digital, software, automation, or technology‑enabled solutions within Oilfield Services, Energy, or complex industrial environments.
  • Have proven experience designing and deploying end‑to‑end Digital or data‑driven solutions involving multiple systems and stakeholders.
  • Have strong exposure to customer‑facing technical roles, including solution architecture, pre‑sales engineering, or deployment leadership.
  • Have deep understanding of Digital solution architectures, data flows, integrations, and deployment models.
  • Have the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear customer and sales‑friendly narratives.
  • Have strong judgment in balancing customer requirements, standardization, risk, and scalability.
  • Have high credibility working with engineering, sales, and customer stakeholders across matrixed organizations.
