East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Adults Solicitor to lead high-impact legal work that safeguards vulnerable adults and strengthens vital services across the region. In this influential role, you will shape complex decision-making, guide frontline practice, and drive lawful, person‑centred adult social care delivery within one of the country's most stable and consistently high-performing councils.

Your Impact
You will lead and progress a varied and high-impact caseload across key areas including:
- Mental Capacity Act 2005
- Care Act 2014
- Court of Protection
- Deprivation of Liberty
- Adult safeguarding
- Coroner's inquests
- Tenancy and mental health matters

You will bring:
- A strong background in adult social care law
- Confident and effective advocacy skills
- The ability to deliver clear, pragmatic, solutions-focused advice
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills
- Excellent professional judgement and resilience
- Flexibility to attend court, hearings and external locations
- Confidence working across office-based, remote and flexible arrangements
