Job Purpose
We are looking for an experienced legal professional to join our Intermediate Track Team in a dual‑capacity role that blends technical expertise with hands‑on case management. This position is ideal for a solicitor or CILEX‑qualified lawyer with litigation rights who thrives on complex litigation work and enjoys mentoring others.
Role Encompasses
- Case Management: Handle a portfolio of Intermediate Track cases, ensuring timely progression and resolution aligned with client expectations and business objectives.
- Technical Leadership: Act as a subject‑matter expert, providing guidance, mentoring, and technical support to colleagues across the post‑litigation process while ensuring compliance and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of Intermediate Track cases.
- Provide technical supervision and mentoring to team members and the wider practice.
- Draft high‑quality legal documents, including pleadings, interlocutory applications, and supporting statements.
- Advise on complex litigation issues, procedural strategies, and risk management.
- Contribute to team development by sharing best practices and delivering training sessions.
- Ensure adherence to professional standards, regulatory requirements, and internal compliance frameworks.
- Collaborate with management to improve processes and enhance client service delivery.
Experience & Knowledge
- Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with litigation rights.
- Proven ability to manage a personal caseload effectively.
- Strong drafting skills for applications, pleadings, and supporting documentation.
- Demonstrated experience working to performance targets and KPIs.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise under pressure.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of delivering clear, practical guidance.
- Strong problem‑solving ability and commercial awareness.
- Collaborative mindset with a commitment to team success.
- Interest in emerging technologies such as AI (desirable but not essential).
