Personal Injury Solicitor (Claimant), 5 – 8 Years PQE, £55,000 to £70,000 (DOE), Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and commercially minded lawyer to manage a high‑quality caseload of Occupier’s and Public Liability claims, working within a supportive and collaborative environment. You will handle your own caseload of litigated OL/PL matters from inception through to conclusion. Standard working hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday‑Thursday and 8:30am to 5pm Friday.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of a portfolio of OL/PL claims, ensuring each matter progresses efficiently and strategically
- Assess liability, quantum, and overall case prospects to drive strong outcomes
- Prepare and review key legal documentation to support case progression and litigation strategy
- Engage proactively with clients, experts, counsel, and third parties throughout the lifecycle of claims
- Conduct settlement discussions and achieve commercially sound resolutions
- Navigate cases through the litigation process, ensuring compliance with procedural requirements and deadlines
- Advocate on behalf of clients where appropriate, including attending hearings
- Contribute to team performance by sharing knowledge and best practice
- Maintain accurate case management records and ensure files meet compliance standards
- Support the development of junior colleagues through guidance and supervision
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance client service delivery
