Job Summary
Distech Controls is hiring a Sales Support Engineer (SSE) to join the English team and support the sales team and system integrators in the Greater London area.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- In collaboration with the Sales team, maintain technical relationships with customers and carry out punctual actions on site.
- Support the sales team during solutions presentations, demonstrations and onboarding of solutions to customers.
- Lead physical or remote meetings for system integrators on technical developments, solution design and product introductions.
- Assist system integrators on first projects, specific strategic projects, and projects with new products to guarantee proper completion and success.
- Design content and lead information sessions in collaboration with the Demand Generation team and design offices throughout the country.
- Share skills with technical support and training teams based on experience gained during customer projects.
- Contribute to the evolution of future products with R&D and Product Management departments.
- Participate in product launches and commercial events such as webinars, trade shows, road shows, partner/customer meetings.
- Manage projects independently and collaborate with necessary departments/people, with periodic sharing, depending on project criticality.
Required Skills
- Engineer or equivalent with at least 5 years’ experience in Building Management Systems (BMS) and automation systems (BACS).
- Skills in building automation controls and programming.
- Proficiency in BMS protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, etc.).
- Knowledge of IoT and IT protocols, API REST, JSON, MQTT, IoT Hub, Node‑RED, Postman.
- Knowledge of IT networks and cybersecurity standards.
- Knowledge in cloud architectures and principles.
- Ability to link field requests and enhance OT/IT/EDGE/CLOUD solutions.
- Comfortable and motivated in sales relationships to promote Distech Controls portfolio solutions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Recognized for pedagogical approaches, teamwork, and prioritization in handling client emergencies.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Distech Controls solutions.
- Experience with Niagara Framework.
Travel Requirements
- 21-40% travel.
