Construction Litigation Solicitor | City of London

A highly regarded UK law firm is seeking a Construction Litigation Solicitor to join its busy and growing contentious construction team in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level construction disputes lawyer looking to take on greater responsibility, high-quality work and genuine career progression within a well-established and collaborative practice.

You will join a Legal 500-ranked Construction, Engineering & Procurement team, comprising around 40 fee earners and recognised for its expertise in complex, high-value construction disputes.

The team has an outstanding reputation for acting on landmark and precedent-setting cases, including matters before the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and the Technology and Construction Court (TCC). The practice spans the full range of dispute resolution, including:

  • Adjudication
  • Arbitration and mediation
  • Expert determination
  • TCC and tribunal proceedings

A significant focus of the work is within the social housing and residential development sector, particularly in relation to building safety, remediation and post-Grenfell litigation. The team is widely recognised as a market leader in this space, regularly advising on complex and high-profile matters.

Clients include major registered providers, contractors, consultants and property investors, offering a diverse and stimulating workload.

This role offers the opportunity to develop your technical expertise, build client relationships and play an active role in business development, all within a supportive and forward-thinking team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing your own caseload of contentious construction matters
  • Advising on all aspects of construction contracts
  • Acting in adjudications, mediations, arbitrations and litigation
  • Managing proceedings in the Technology and Construction Court
  • Drafting submissions, pleadings and witness statements

About You:

  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 3+ years’ PQE in contentious construction
  • Experience of handling construction disputes, including adjudication and litigation
  • Proven ability to manage your own files and work with a degree of autonomy
  • Strong drafting and communication skills
