Senior Site Manager - New Build Housing

Role Overview
We are working with a well‑established regional contractor delivering new build residential developments across South Wales. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Manager to take full responsibility for a new housing scheme in Aberdare. This is a hands‑on, site‑based role suitable for someone who has managed projects from groundworks through to completion and handover, delivering quality homes safely, on programme and to a high standard. Projects are traditional new build housing, not refurbishment or maintenance, and require a confident site leader who is comfortable running their own site.
Key Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for site delivery from start to finish
- Managing subcontractors, direct labour and site supervisors
- Driving programme, quality and productivity across all stages of the build
- Ensuring strict compliance with H&S legislation and company procedures
- Chairing subcontractor meetings, toolbox talks and site briefings
- Managing NHBC inspections, Building Control and client sign‑off
- Coordinating materials, logistics and sequencing to maintain programme
- Maintaining accurate site records, reporting progress and risks
- Leading snagging, completions and structured handover
Essential Qualifications
- Strong experience delivering new build housing projects as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager
- Proven ability to manage a site independently
- SMSTS
- CSCS (Management level)
- Full UK driving licence
- First Aid
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience working on multi‑plot housing developments
- Background with contractors such as regional housebuilders or PLC developers
- Strong NHBC and Building Control experience
