Location: Field-based role
Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent, full-time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm
Role Overview
Our Health and Safety Business Partner will provide independent, professional health and safety auditing and advice across the Lookers North West and Midlands regions as part of the Second Line of Defence. You’ll work closely with operational teams and management to ensure compliance with Lookers’ internal H&S standards and external legislative requirements. The position focuses on improving safety performance through effective health and safety management systems, supporting action plans, and promoting a strong, positive safety culture throughout the business while ensuring timely delivery of associated programmes and initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Act as a trusted H&S partner to operational teams
- Conduct site audits and Fire Risk Assessments
- Support incident reporting and Root Cause Analysis, including RIDDOR
- Deliver Tool Box Talks and engaging H&S guidance
- Work closely with Facilities & Estates to resolve safety issues
- Help enhance policies, processes, and safety systems
Experience And Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in a health & safety role
- Strong knowledge of H&S legislation and auditing
- Excellent communication, influencing, and problem‑solving skills
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- IOSH Membership
