Littlehampton Welding is a leading architectural and structural metalworks company seeking a Site Manager to oversee daily site operations, supervise supervisors and sub‑contractors, and maintain a safe, clean, and organised workplace in alignment with our policies, legislation, and project delivery standards.
Reporting
Reporting directly to the Head of Site Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the effective and safe daily operation of all installation sites.
- Coordinate and control projects from design through to completion and handover.
- Verify that all completed works are error‑free and that required handover documentation is complete.
- Collaborate with the Drawing Office Manager and/or draughtspersons to secure accurate drawings for site operatives and to flag any errors or omissions.
- Work with the Works Manager to arrange transportation of fabricated or completed works to site, ensuring fabrication, installation, and deadlines are met.
- Ensure Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Lift Plans are completed and made available to relevant operatives and clients.
- Issue Site Safety files in a timely manner, reviewing completion against client requirements, legislation, and compliance obligations.
- Coordinate with the contract manager to secure the necessary labour to meet specified timelines.
- Requisition plant, equipment and materials to satisfy work schedules and contractual requirements.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with steel erection is required.
- Appointed Person (Blue Card) status is preferred.
