We’re supporting a leading UK energy and engineering specialist delivering complex mechanical works within a live healthcare estate. This is a freelance opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to join a critical project in Walsall, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality delivery throughout.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for the day‑to‑day supervision of mechanical works on site, coordinating labour and subcontractors while working closely with the wider project team in a live hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical operatives and subcontractors on site
• Coordinate daily activities to meet programme and quality requirements
• Ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and RAMS
• Maintain strict health & safety standards in a live healthcare setting
• Liaise with the Project Manager, site teams, and hospital stakeholders
• Oversee quality control, snagging, and support testing & commissioning
• Manage materials, deliveries, and site logistics

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor / Manager on construction or energy projects
• Strong background in HVAC, pipework, plant rooms, or mechanical installations
• Experience working in a live healthcare environment
• Confident managing labour, subcontractors, and site activities
• SMSTS, Manager’s CSCS Card, and Relevant Mechanical Qualifications
