Contract: Fixed Term Contract – Temporary, Full Time, 12 months

Department: ERSOU – Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU)

Location: Stevenage

Grade: PO3/4

Salary: £55,467 up to £62,940 per annum (pro rata for part‑time)

Hours per week: 37

Role Overview

As a Change Project Manager within the Continuous Improvement Team (CIT) on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, you will lead and deliver complex projects that support the ERSOU and ROCU, and contribute to Counter‑Terrorism Policing initiatives. The role requires strong project management expertise, adaptiveness to dynamic environments, and the ability to engage stakeholders at national, regional, and local levels.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and close change projects, ensuring objectives are met within time, scope, and budget.
  • Lead cross‑functional teams, coordinating with ROCU, ERSOU members, and national partners.
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate risks and issues throughout project lifecycles.
  • Report progress to senior leadership and maintain project documentation.
  • Promote continuous improvement culture and drive adoption of new practices across the unit.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Extensive experience in project management, preferably in complex or operational settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver results.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a dynamic working environment.
  • Management Vetting (5 year residency) and Security Clearance (5 year residency) or Development Vetting required prior to appointment.
