Overview
Our client is a well-established and growing residential groundworks contractor, delivering high-quality infrastructure and groundwork packages for leading housebuilders across the region. With a strong pipeline of projects, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join their team.
Role
As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of residential groundworks sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards. You will play a key role in coordinating site activities, managing subcontractors, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site operations on residential groundworks projects
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, plant, and materials
- Ensure works are delivered in line with programme and budget
- Maintain high standards of health & safety across site
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with RAMS
- Liaise with clients, engineers, and senior management
- Monitor progress and report on project performance
- Ensure quality control and adherence to specifications
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within residential groundworks
- Strong knowledge of foundations, drainage, roads, and infrastructure works
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple trades and site activities effectively
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and site compliance
- Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications
- Full UK driving licence
