Overview
Geotechnical Project Manager – LondonSalary: £50,000 – £65,000 (depending on experience)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Geotechnical Project Manager to join a well‑established site investigation and ground engineering consultancy, delivering a wide range of commercial and infrastructure projects across London and the surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of projects from tender through to completion, managing multiple schemes simultaneously.
- Oversee technical delivery, commercial performance, and client relationships, whilst leading site teams and junior engineers.
- Coordinate ground investigations and prepare/ review risk assessments and method statements.
- Ensure health and safety compliance throughout site works.
- Provide technical oversight of soil and rock logging, groundwater and gas monitoring programmes, contamination sampling strategies, and the production and review of factual and interpretative reports.
- Liaise closely with clients, drilling contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Apply commercial awareness – cost control, programme management, tendering and business development contributions.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years’ experience within geotechnical engineering/ground investigation.
- Strong project management and client‑facing experience.
- Experience managing site investigations and reviewing technical reports.
- Degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Live within a commutable distance of Central London.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
