With operations across the UK, Europe and North America, and a strong omnichannel presence across retail and e-commerce, this is a business that continues to scale rapidly. You'll be joining a values-led, entrepreneurial environment where finance is central to driving performance - and where there's real opportunity to shape how data is used to influence decisions across the business.
This is a high-impact, hands‑on role sitting at the heart of the commercial finance function. You'll work closely with the CFO and Head of Commercial Finance and cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, ops and product - providing the analysis, insight and challenge that drives better decisions. With a lean team structure, your contribution will be visible and meaningful from day one.
What will you be doing?
- Partnering with commercial, marketing and ops teams to support pricing, promotions, NPD evaluations and investment decisions
- Building and analysing customer and channel P&Ls to drive commercial decision‑making
- Leading budgeting, forecasting and planning cycles, helping pull together inputs from across the business
- Evaluating marketing campaign ROI – stitching together sell‑out data with spend to assess effectiveness
- Conducting ad‑hoc financial analysis to support product costings, new market entry and business case evaluations
- Contributing to monthly and board reporting with clear, actionable commentary
- Mentoring and supporting a junior team member, helping them develop within commercial finance
- Championing process improvement to move the function from reporting towards forward‑looking insight
What would we love to see from you?
- Experience in commercial finance and business partnering within consumer goods SMEs (c. £50m‑£150m turnover)
- Comfortable with the full range of commercial finance work – from big‑picture planning to rolling up your sleeves on the detail
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to extract insight that influences decisions, not just report numbers
- Confident communicator, able to work cross‑functionally and engage with non‑finance stakeholders
- A self‑starter who can operate with autonomy – this role requires someone who gets on with it
