This role is within Markets and Securities, part of the Operations Office for EMEA, supporting MUFG’s core products and services in Banking and Securities. The Network Management team manages interaction between Operations, MUFG’s internal clients (Front Office, Trading Desks), and MUFG external Agent network (cash, custodian, etc.), with ties to Finance, Legal, Compliance and Risk.

Main purpose of the role
The Network Management team is responsible for managing all Cash, Custody, Clearing and Execution relationships, such as Nostro agents, Custodians, Clearing Houses, Brokers, E-platforms and Exchanges. You will support the Network Management team across MUFG’s Banking arm and Securities business under a dual‑hat arrangement, acting on behalf of both entities with the same remit and authority. The primary purpose is to assist with onboarding/offboarding of Agent Bank relationships and to support all aspects of relationship management, including issue oversight, escalation handling, fee reviews, due diligence processes, and providing ad hoc support to senior management. The role is relationship‑focused and requires substantial analytical work, ongoing monitoring, and involvement in change initiatives to maximise value of external relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct ongoing reviews of Agent Bank providers, including completing annual due diligence questionnaires, reviewing contracts, and arranging periodic service review meetings.
- Coordinate documentation for new relationships, including legal agreements and account‑opening materials.
- Proactively manage incoming queries, ensuring issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist in the creation, maintenance and production of Network Management MIS.
- Develop a strong understanding of process flows to identify workflow improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Support regulatory and change initiatives, including projects such as ISO 20022 and T+1.
- Assist with the day‑to‑day management of the cash and custody invoicing and recharging processes.
- Build strong relationships across MUFG to develop a peer network, gather relevant information, and support effective inter‑departmental collaboration.
- Ensure adherence to global standards for information storage, governance, and dissemination.
- Support the onboarding of new banking accounts onto MUFG systems.
Work Experience
- Previous experience in Network Management or a similar role is essential.
- Strong understanding of front‑to‑back transaction flows within an operational context.
- Experience in other operational functions – such as Settlements, Collateral Management, Trade Support, or Operations Project Management – would be beneficial.
- Demonstrated experience supporting projects and strategic initiatives.
- Experience managing Cash and Custody relationships.
- Knowledge of Derivatives clearing would be advantageous.
- Prior experience within a top‑tier broker‑dealer is preferable but not essential.

- Strong Microsoft Office skills (intermediate level or above).
- Knowledge of Power BI and other Microsoft Power Platform tools would be beneficial.
