The Opportunity
CV Technical is working exclusively with a well‑established manufacturing business based in Coalville to recruit an experienced Stock Control Manager. This is a hands‑on leadership role sitting at the heart of the purchasing and stock management function, overseeing a small team and always ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the stock system.
The business is currently undergoing a system restructure, making this an exciting time to join and contribute to a period of positive change. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the implementation of new processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 2 purchasing assistants, overseeing day‑to‑day performance and output
- Always maintain accuracy and integrity of the stock system
- Place, progress and acknowledge purchase orders
- Carry out stock reconciliation and purchase invoice reconciliation
- Manage material call off from dock
- Intrastat reporting and progressing of reject material
- Calculate and communicate monthly collection costs
What We're Looking For
- Proven stock processing experience - essential
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems and purchase order processing
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with strong data interrogation and analysis ability
- Experience using Management Information Systems and/or Business Intelligence reporting tools
- Accounts or purchase/finance processing background - desirable
- Shipping experience - advantageous
- People management experience with a collaborative, team-player mindset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confident dealing with external parties including suppliers and logistics providers
- High attention to detail with the ability to organise and prioritise a varied workload
- Proactive and adaptable - comfortable supporting change and system implementation
