We are looking to appoint a Group Finance Research & IT Controller into a newly created role within the central finance function of a large, private equity-backed business operating across multiple international markets. The role sits at the intersection of group finance, technology investment and international operations, focusing on understanding, refining and improving how costs are captured, allocated and reported across the business.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of IT investment and project accounting, ensuring accurate accounting and transparent visibility of costs.
- Manage global cost recharges and elements of transfer pricing, collaborating with finance, tax and operational teams to improve clarity and consistency.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, introduce structure, and deliver tangible improvements in cost capture and reporting.
Qualifications
- Technically strong accountant, most likely ACA or ACCA qualified, with experience in a group or multi-entity environment.
- Experience in intercompany, cost allocation or project accounting is highly relevant, though not all aspects need to have been covered.
- Strong ability to work in both detail and with a view to the bigger picture, and to collaborate across teams.
Location & Working Model
The business is based in the South West, with a flexible working model that typically requires one day per week in the office, supported by a strong overall benefits package.
