The project:

With continued growth across UK infrastructure, we have a demand for experienced professionals in aviation to join our Mobility Business Sector. With sustained airline passenger growth in the UK and the recent government approvals, Mace consult have been appointed for one of the UK’s largest airports in the Southeast of England to deliver their high‑profile airport expansion plans.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director – Project Management to join our team on a permanent basis. As Project Manager you will represent Mace whilst interfacing with our key clients. You will be required to lead others effectively, give clear direction, coach and support others to reach their full potential.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Overseeing project timelines, budgets, and risks.
• Managing end‑to‑end project delivery for clients.
• Aligning outcomes with stakeholder expectations.
• Providing expert guidance to project teams.
• Managing client, consultant, and stakeholder coordination.
• Driving collaborative working across all parties.
• Integrating design, authority, and delivery programmes.
• Ensuring timely delivery against agreed milestones.

You’ll need to have:

• Strong NEC experience with proven delivery in infrastructure projects.
• Background in highway planning and large infrastructure programmes.
• Effective stakeholder engagement across all client levels.
• Professional accreditation (MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS/MICE) with demonstrable project management expertise.
