Are you an Infrastructure Engineer ready for your next challenge?
Sopra Steria is delivering a unique solution from the ground up for the Defence sector, integrating infrastructure and applications within highly secure, mission‑critical environments. This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact, contribute to complex technical solutions, and work on a nationally significant programme that few organisations can offer exposure to.
We are looking for a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to oversee the day‑to‑day technical operations of the Windows Team, reporting to the Head of Operating Systems.
This is a key leadership role with direct influence on operational performance, service quality and profitability. You will provide both technical expertise and people leadership, helping to shape the team’s capability while ensuring the successful delivery of infrastructure services and project outcomes.
For someone motivated by purpose, scale, and technical complexity, this role offers the chance to see their work directly contribute to outcomes that really matter.
This role requires full‑time, on‑site working in Hertfordshire. Ideally, you will hold active MoD DV clearance; however, we will also consider candidates who hold active SC clearance and are willing to undergo DV clearance.
We welcome applications from people with a diverse variety of backgrounds and identities. We are committed to equality of opportunity for all and do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation or marital status. We partner with Vercida, the UK's largest diversity and inclusion focused careers site, where all our vacancies are available in an accessible format. If you require any adjustments to the recruitment process to enable you to perform to the best of your ability, please let us know. We participate in the Disability Confident scheme and are committed to offering an interview to any candidate with a disability who meets the minimum criteria for the role.
