Principal Systems Engineer

Overview

RC Fornax are seeking experienced Principal Systems Engineers to support the ongoing development and enhancement of a complex in?service radar system. The role focuses on planning, executing, and analysing both rig-based and flight trials, and requires strong experience in handling large datasets and applying advanced analytical techniques.

Responsibilities

• Analyse large datasets generated from rig and flight trials using systematic and analytical methods.
• Evaluate radar system performance against requirements and produce Systems Problem Reports (SPRs) for further investigation.
• Apply signal processing, image processing, and object classification techniques to derive meaningful insights from real-world data.
• Investigate and diagnose system anomalies, ensuring system performance aligns with functional and technical specifications.
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to prototype and develop advanced defence solutions.
• Contribute to System Verification & Validation (V&V) activities throughout the system development lifecycle.

Required Skillset

• Strong proficiency in MATLAB, particularly in analysing and processing large datasets.
• Proven experience across the V?model lifecycle, especially within implementation, integration, testing, and V&V phases. xlqdzyr

• Understanding of radar systems or complex sensor systems is highly beneficial
