Senior Development Chemist

Overview

Talentmark are recruiting for a Senior Development Chemist to join a Chemicals Manufacturing company at their site based in Greater Manchester on a full time, permanent basis, for a salary range of £45,000 – 60,000 per annum.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and develop new blended products, work to improve existing products and work to approve new raw materials
• Create customer-facing documentation (Technical Data Sheets, etc.) and internal documentation (QC specifications, etc.) and SAP records for new products
• Prepare technical reports and presentations as required
• Liaise with Quality Control regarding problems with samples, batch monitoring and creation of QC specifications for new products, including Safety Data Sheets
• Collaborate with Production on the manufacture of new products and assist with other products as required
• Work with other departments such as Commercial and Marketing as required

Qualifications and Experience

• Chemistry degree (or higher) desirable
• Comfortable in a laboratory environment
• Good motivation and organisational skills
• Industrial lab experience
• Familiarity with product development methodologies – research, sample preparation, testing, review desirable

Entitlement to work in the UK is essential.
