Overview

Pre-School Room Leader – E11

Salary: £13.56 – £16.46 per hour. Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Contract: Permanent.

We are recruiting on behalf of a nursery in E11 for a Pre-School Room Leader to join their team. In this role, you will lead a newly opened pre-toddler room (12-24 months), creating and delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate activities while ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the children.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop activities for children aged 12-24 months
• Ensure a safe, secure, and home-like environment
• Support staff in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
• Monitor children’s progress and contribute to curriculum enhancement
• Maintain accurate room paperwork and records
• Model best practice and lead through positive example

Requirements

• Full Level 3 childcare qualification or above
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working with children under 2 years old
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices
• Flexible, creative, and committed to providing excellent childcare
• Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills
• Food Hygiene Certificate Level 1 (preferred)
