BCL Legal is delighted to be working with a well-established, employee-owned law firm seeking to appoint a Commercial Property Lawyer in a senior leadership role to support the continued growth of its Commercial Property team across the region.
This is a senior leadership opportunity offering the chance to shape regional strategy, lead high-performing teams, and play a key role in developing a growing commercial property offering.
This position would suit an experienced commercial property lawyer with strong leadership credentials, looking to step into a strategic, business-critical role within a collaborative and forward-thinking firm.
The Opportunity
You will take on a key leadership role, overseeing multiple offices and driving the performance and development of the Commercial Property function across the region. Working closely with the Head of Department, you will play a pivotal role in shaping strategy, supporting complex transactions, and enhancing client relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing Commercial Property teams across multiple offices
- Driving operational performance and ensuring consistently high standards of client service
- Supporting and deputising for the Head of Department where required
- Providing technical oversight on complex commercial property matters
- Advising on a broad range of transactions including acquisitions, disposals and development work
- Supporting fee earners with complex queries and strategic decision-making
- Driving business development through networking and client relationship management
- Identifying and implementing growth opportunities across the region
- Ensuring compliance, risk management and best practice across all teams
You will play a central role in strengthening the firm’s commercial property presence across the West Midlands and surrounding areas.
About You

- Are a qualified Solicitor with extensive experience in commercial property
- Have strong technical expertise across a broad range of real estate matters
- Bring proven experience in managing teams or leading regional operations
- Are confident supporting and advising on complex transactions
- Demonstrate strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Are commercially minded, with a proactive approach to business development
- Thrive in a collaborative environment and are passionate about delivering excellent client service
