The Role
They are seeking a highly skilled Senior Authorised Engineer to take ownership of all electrical systems within their Water operations. This new role offers a unique opportunity to lead, influence, and drive safety standards across their MEICA operations. As a delegated authority Electrical Duty Holder, you will ensure compliance with statutory regulations, oversee high-voltage systems, and promote a culture of safety.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead all electrical safety responsibilities across Water Resources & Production.
- Manage health and safety risks related to high-voltage systems.
- Line-manage a team of three technical experts in mechanical and electrical engineering, providing guidance and development.
- Monitor and manage electrical risks, from quick fixes to major investments.
- Maintain and update the Electrical Safety Rule Book and competency frameworks.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to uphold best-in-class safety standards.
Requirements
- Chartered Engineer status or MIECA membership.
- Extensive experience managing HV and LV systems in industrial environments.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Proven ability to manage electrical safety and compliance.
- Excellent risk management and stakeholder engagement skills.
