JDR Recruitment are looking to recruit a stand in supervisor to join our client in Runcorn WA7. Our client is a well established manufacturing business. The successful candidate will support the team by covering for the Supervisor as required and otherwise perform as a key Operator within the department. You'll work with both manual and automated injection moulding equipment, handling a wide range of production activities.
Salary: £31,014 (inclusive of shift allowance)
Hours of Work: 3 Shifts Rotating weekly (AM, PM, NIGHTS)
Location: Runcorn WA7
Contract: Permanent Role
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mould changes, material and colour changes.
- Prepare equipment, tools, paperwork, and ancillary items for production setup.
- Monitor daily production and quality control records; identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure quality standards and production targets are consistently met.
- Operate machinery efficiently under pressure, minimizing downtime.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Conduct routine housekeeping and maintenance of machinery and work areas.
- Carry out all necessary manual tasks associated with the moulding process.
- Report any potential issues with equipment, facilities, or safety to management.
- Provide performance feedback and assist in training new starters.
- Suggest improvements to safety, equipment, and operational procedures.
- Maintain and record health and safety checks.
- Provide cover for supervisors and operators during absences.
Requirements
- Previous injection moulding / plastics experience is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organized, motivated, and reliable with good time-management skills.
- Confident communicator with a proactive and professional attitude.
