Hardware Design Engineer
Location: Clacton-on-Sea, UK
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + benefits

What you’ll be doing
- Leading the design and development of analogue and digital hardware
- Creating schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer
- Taking ownership of projects from concept through to production
- Working closely with product management to define specifications
- Carrying out component selection, simulation, and performance analysis
- Developing and executing test and validation plans
- Debugging and validating hardware using lab equipment
- Collaborating with software and mechanical teams for system integration
- Supporting manufacturing, NPI, and production teams
- Contributing to design reviews and continuous improvement
What you’ll bring
- Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience
- Around 2-5 years' experience in hardware design
- Strong understanding of circuit design, power supplies, and signal integrity
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools
- Hands‑on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)
- Experience working in cross‑functional engineering teams
- Nice to have: Altium Designer experience
- Nice to have: Exposure to RF design
