The Opportunity

Are you a Senior Civil Engineer with experience in the buildings sector? Do you have a passion for delivering projects for a variety of clients? We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Buildings team in either Glasgow or Edinburgh. We are looking for someone with expertise in civil engineering design to help deliver multi‑disciplinary projects, from feasibility studies, concept design, and planning submissions through to warrant, tender and construction details. Our projects are varied and frequently require collaboration with multiple discipline experts across the Stantec business and wider industry.

The successful candidate will focus on civil engineering design solutions to support project delivery through preparing reports, drawings and undertaking the design of earthworks, internal site roads, pavements and drainage design. You will work with clients and contractors to influence infrastructure and development schemes and will be responsible for delivering projects with the opportunity to lead, development and support more junior team members.

About You

You will be an experienced Civil Engineer, degree qualified, with a minimum of 5 years post‑graduate experience and Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (or progressing toward chartership) with the ICE. You will have proven experience of delivering commercially successful projects with strong client engagement skills and the ability to influence. You will preferably have experience in coaching and managing junior engineers as well as the ability to collaborate with the wider project delivery team.
