We’re looking for a hands‑on Technical Lead to join a high-performing engineering team working on the evolution of a large-scale, business‑critical platform.
This role offers the opportunity to shape technical direction across a complex, distributed system, contributing to both greenfield development and the re‑architecture of legacy services. You’ll play a key role in guiding engineers, influencing architecture, and delivering scalable, high‑performance solutions within a modern, data‑driven environment.
The role
- Own and drive technical design across multiple services and projects
- Lead architectural decisions within a cloud‑based, distributed system
- Mentor and support engineers, promoting best practices and code quality
- Remain hands‑on, contributing to development where required
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams
- Contribute to early‑stage solution design and technical planning
Technology environment
You don’t need experience across everything below, but exposure to similar technologies is important:
- Frontend: React, TypeScript
- Data & Messaging: SQL, Kafka, event‑driven architectures
What we’re looking for
- Strong background in backend or full‑stack development (Java, C#, Python or similar)
- Experience as a Technical Lead or a senior engineer stepping into leadership
- Strong understanding of system design and scalable architecture
- Experience working in cloud environments
- Ability to mentor developers and communicate technical concepts clearly
- A hands‑on, pragmatic approach to engineering challenges
