About the role
Are you an experienced Engineering Geologist looking for a role where you can take ownership of projects, mentor junior staff, and play a key part in delivering complex ground investigation schemes?
A well:established consultancy based in London is looking to appoint a Senior Engineering Geologist to support a strong pipeline of infrastructure, residential, and commercial developments across the UK.
As a Senior Engineering Geologist, youll be involved in both site and office:based work, taking responsibility for delivering high:quality ground investigation and interpretation.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Planning and managing ground investigations
- Supervising site works (drilling, trial pits, logging, sampling)
- Soil and rock logging to current standards
- Producing factual and interpretative reports
- Developing geotechnical models and providing design recommendations
- Managing project timelines, budgets, and client relationships
- Mentoring junior engineers
Requirements
- Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or a related field
- Typically 5+ years experience in ground investigation / geotechnical consultancy
- Strong logging and report writing experience
- Must live within a commutable distance from London office
- Experience managing site works and subcontractorsGood understanding of UK standards and guidance
- Working towards (or achieved) Chartership (e.g. CGeol, ICE)
- Full UK driving licence
