Lead the delivery of highways solutions that shape sustainable communities. Join Tetra Tech at the forefront of a landmark partnership with Hertfordshire County Council and take a key role in delivering impactful transport and infrastructure services.
As a Senior or Principal Engineer within the Development Management Implementation (DMI) team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering highways and transport services under Tetra Tech’s long-term Professional Services Contract with Hertfordshire County Council. Operating within a collaborative “One Service” model, you will lead on technical delivery, provide expert advice on development proposals, and support the management of a multidisciplinary team. The role combines leadership, project delivery and technical oversight, ensuring schemes meet required standards while supporting sustainable development across the region.
You will influence how developments are planned, designed and delivered by providing robust technical guidance and leadership. Acting as a key interface between stakeholders, developers and delivery partners, you will ensure high-quality, compliant and efficient highway solutions. Your contribution will enhance service delivery, strengthen team capability and support the successful delivery of infrastructure that benefits local communities.
Degree or Masters in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning or a related discipline. Significant relevant experience in highways or transport planning is essential. Professional accreditation (e.g., MICE or CIHT) is desirable.
You will be part of a Hertfordshire-focused team within a wider partnership environment, with flexibility to balance leadership responsibilities, project delivery and personal commitments.
