  • Prototyping & Testing: Analyse product requirements to specify prototypes, define verification and validation testing, and build or support the assembly of prototype units for testing as required.
  • Test Analysis & Reporting: Review test data, interpret results, and clearly communicate findings, conclusions, and recommendations to the wider engineering and cross‑functional teams.
  • Manufacturing Engagement: Engage with existing manufacturing processes to understand the manufacture of current and modified production parts, ensuring design intent is achieved and issues are resolved efficiently.
  • Risk Management: Lead and contribute to product and process risk management activities, including FMEA and PFMEA, ensuring risks are understood, mitigated, and documented.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality at the design and manufacturing interface.
  • Quality & Compliance Support: Provide senior engineering support to supply sites on Quality Control and Assurance activities, including PPAP, and ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Health & Safety: Work in accordance with Watson‑Marlow health and safety systems and procedures, ensuring safe working practices are followed at all times.
  • Technical Leadership: Share knowledge, provide guidance to less experienced engineers, and help set standards for technical excellence across the OE function.
