Summary

We are seeking electrically biased Senior Project Engineers based in Sheffield or Leeds to join our team for a project near Barnsley.

In this role, you will lead the delivery of a refurbishment project for a live critical data centre, starting in summer and expected to last approximately 18 months, with potential for ongoing work. Occasional travel to Scotland may be required.

Your responsibilities include ensuring all activities under your control meet specifications, are delivered safely, profitably, and satisfy the customer. This is a permanent position with NG Bailey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote a safety-first culture across all project activities
• Participate in pre-commencement activities to optimize opportunities, efficiency, and profitability
• Review project scope to ensure alignment with customer requirements
• Identify and mitigate project risks and capitalize on opportunities
• Procure and deliver engineering solutions within financial and commercial targets
• Provide timely updates on site progress to the Project Manager and Commercial Lead
• Manage subcontractor resources if applicable
• Lead and motivate project team members to achieve objectives
• Build and maintain positive client relationships
• Ensure project close-out aligns with customer requirements and maximizes profitability

Candidate Requirements:

Successful candidates will have demonstrable experience in electrical installations within a construction environment and previous experience in similar roles.

• Industry-recognized electrical trade or professional qualification
• Experience on high-value building service projects (£10m or more)
