Telephone Business Development Consultant, OnTheMarket – London

Role Description
As a Business Development Consultant (BDC) for OTM, you will manage, nurture, and grow your existing client base. You will work as part of a motivated, entrepreneurial sales team focused on selling, training, and retaining clients on the full suite of OTM products.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities for OTM by sourcing, generating, and building leads.
- Understand the OTM product suite and align solutions to customer needs.
- Contact potential clients, conduct online or phone meetings with prospects and existing customers.
- Negotiate business terms and close sales.
- Collaborate with senior team members to manage risks and report results.
- Pitch products to new and prospective clients leveraging strong communication and product knowledge.
- Represent OTM at industry events and network with property professionals.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of sales success, preferably in online marketplaces, portals, or similar B2B environments.
- Ability to maintain and grow client relationships over the medium and long term with excellent service.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and objection‑handling skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to metrics efficiently.
- Degree level education or equivalent experience.
- Consultative selling style and account‑management techniques to grow accounts over time.
- Capability to navigate large organisations and identify decision‑makers, influencers, and blockers.
