We’re seeking professionals with expertise in the following areas:

  • Safety Case production and management e.g. engineering changes, safety reports (PSRs, PCSRs etc.).
  • Hazard and Risk identification and assessment studies, e.g. FMEA, HAZOP, ALARP.
  • Internal and External Hazard assessments.
  • Deterministic and Probabilistic Safety Assessments (PSA).
  • Nuclear Licensing and Authorisations.
  • Integrating safety principles into engineering designs.
  • Structural Integrity design/assessment of nuclear related structures and components.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical work to support the demonstration that a facility or system can be operated safely and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their challenges and develop solutions.
  • Represent the business in technical meetings with clients, regulators and other third parties.
  • Help maintain technical capability/knowledge of the community and mentor team members where appropriate.

Qualifications

  • A degree (or equivalent demonstrable experience) in a STEM discipline.
  • Experience of executing project tasks against relevant standards and best practices.
  • Good communication skills and ability to articulate information to a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Chartered Member of a professional institute (or equivalent demonstrable experience) or working towards either Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with a relevant professional body.
