We cover the full spectrum of the nuclear lifecycle, from next-generation systems and emerging reactor technologies, like SMRs, to the safe operation of existing nuclear facilities. We’re seeking professionals with expertise in the following areas:
- Safety Case production and management e.g. engineering changes, safety reports (PSRs, PCSRs etc.).
- Hazard and Risk identification and assessment studies, e.g. FMEA, HAZOP, ALARP.
- Internal and External Hazard assessments.
- Deterministic and Probabilistic Safety Assessments (PSA).
- Nuclear Licensing and Authorisations.
- Integrating safety principles into engineering designs.
- Structural Integrity design/assessment of nuclear related structures and components.
Responsibilities
- Deliver technical work to support the demonstration that a facility or system can be operated safely and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with clients to understand their challenges and develop solutions.
- Represent the business in technical meetings with clients, regulators and other third parties.
- Help maintain technical capability/knowledge of the community and mentor team members where appropriate.
Qualifications
- A degree (or equivalent demonstrable experience) in a STEM discipline.
- Experience of executing project tasks against relevant standards and best practices.
- Good communication skills and ability to articulate information to a broad range of stakeholders.
- Chartered Member of a professional institute (or equivalent demonstrable experience) or working towards either Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with a relevant professional body.
