We are looking for an experienced engineer with strong project management skills to join our established team in High Wycombe. This is a full-time, office-based role, offering an interactive, hands‑on role leading and developing a small team to provide engineering design, manufacturing support, and continuous improvement to a wide range of air movement products and innovative designs for future requirements.

This role would suit someone with a strong project engineering skills with an electronics or mechanical background that has experience of leading a team in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 09:00 to 17:00.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and develop a multidisciplined team through R&D, design and production engineering
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, structure and accountability
  • Leadengineeringprojectswithclearstrategicdirectionandeffectiveresourceplanning
  • Ensuretimelines,budgets,andqualitystandardsareconsistentlymet
  • Monitor team performance and support professional development
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and succession planning for the engineering team

Product Design & Development

  • Manage the full product lifecycle from concept and prototyping to testing, certification, and manufacturing handover
  • Ensure products comply with ventilation, energy efficiency, and safety standards
  • Collaborate with product management to translate customer requirements into practical engineering solutions

Technical & Regulatory Oversight

  • Ensure designs comply with relevant industry regulations, building regulations and standards, and environmental and sustainability directives
  • Oversee product testing, validation, and certification
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers, service providers, testing labs, and certification bodies
  • Degree in Electronics, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 6+ years’ engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Understanding of relevant manufacturing standards and regulations
  • Experience with CAD – SolidWorks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong background in ventilation, HVAC, air handling, or related electromechanical systems
  • Experience with CFD analysis, noise reduction techniques, or thermal performance modelling
