About the Role

Northumbrian Water Group (NWG) continues its AMP8 investment programme, investing circa £3 billion in capital projects to increase resilience in water services across the North East. We are expanding our engineering team and need Senior Project Engineers to lead the delivery of projects at clean‑water and wastewater sites in the region. The delivery of projects will be supported by a multi‑disciplinary team of integrated engineers.

You will provide engineering support and input to construction projects, write technical standards, support option studies and ensure contracts are set up for success. Working with the Project Management team and contractors you will design, build and hand over projects while maintaining safety, reliability and compliance.

The role requires you to take proactive ownership of improvement initiatives, use value‑based decision making, prioritise health and safety, and support stakeholder management across the supply chain. You will help integrate new equipment into the existing asset base and deliver safe, reliable assets that provide affordable water and wastewater services to our customers.

About You

Strong leadership, communications and interpersonal skills; able to build and maintain stakeholder relationships across engineering and operational teams. Demonstrated ability to drive team initiatives in process governance, technical assurance, innovation and HSEQ.

You’ll also support the continued establishment and promotion of the engineering team, encouraging development, inclusivity and progression.

Note: A DBS check is required prior to employment.
