Job Role of the Engineering Shift Manager.
A strong opportunity has become available for a Engineering Shift Manager to join a respected, industry-leading FMCG manufacturing business with a reputation for excellence. The Engineering Shift Manager will benefit from working for a company recognised for quality and operational standards.
The Engineering Shift Manager will be responsible for both electrical and mechanical maintenance, supervising a team of engineers and Team Leaders on a day to day basis, involved in planning and organising the engineering department, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across site machinery.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Engineering Shift Manager
- Experience in a Leadership or Supervisory role
- Multi-skilled maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment
- Engineering Qualifications Level 3 or Above
Requirements for the Engineering Shift Manager
- Leadership and Supervisor Experience
- Experience in managing engineers on a daily basis
- Experience in planning and organising PPMs
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Willing to be Hands on
Desirable for the Engineering Shift Manager
- Previous experience working as a Lead Engineer/Engineering Shift Team Leader/Engineering Supervisor/Engineering Manager in the UK
- Experience with working on PLC’s, ideally being able to fault find using inputs and outputs
