Principal Civil Engineer

Pell Frischmann is a specialist advisory and technical consultancy operating across the built and natural environment, helping to shape a better future for the communities in which we work. Based in Exeter, Croydon or Manchester, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team of around 100 engineers and technicians providing design expertise to major UK water companies.

Responsibilities

• Support multidisciplinary design schemes within the Water sector, covering opportunistic, outline or detailed design.
• Perform technical or professional work activities to ensure delivery meets client requirements and relevant standards.
• Collate plans and schedules, monitor progress to meet deadlines, and maintain quality assurance.
• Engage with clients and third parties as required.
• Take a leading role in promoting health, safety, welfare and sustainability/environmental matters across all work.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or experience.
• Chartered or incorporated engineering status, or working towards this.
• Full driving licence.

Experience

• Considerable post‑study work experience, preferably with water industry clients.
• Relevant design experience in the water sector.

Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Motivated with a positive attitude.
• Proficiency in CAD/Revit and working knowledge of BIM.
• Knowledge of sustainable practices.
• Ability to perform hydraulic calculations.
