Your Impact and Responsibilities as a Senior Manager

  • Provide specialist advice on developing and implementing robust tax governance frameworks, including:
    • Identifying and mitigating global tax risks.
    • Designing and embedding sustainable tax control frameworks that meet international authority requirements.
    • Advising on tax risk implications within broader transformation and technology projects.
    • Ensuring compliance with SAO and CCO regulations.
    • Preparing for and managing HMRC business risk reviews.
    • Developing, documenting, and publishing clients’ tax strategies.
    • Guiding clients through global tax transparency and sustainability reporting requirements.
    • Liaising effectively with HMRC on tax governance matters.
  • Lead business development: seek new opportunities, manage proposals, deliver tender documents, and present at client pitches.
  • Coach, develop, and inspire junior team members, fostering technical skill growth and accelerating career progression.
  • Manage operational and strategic aspects of the team, contributing to the broader expansion of KPMG’s tax governance offering.
  • Liaise cross‑functionally with specialists across UK and overseas networks to support multidisciplinary projects.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong technical excellence combined with curiosity, drive, and leadership in tax governance.
  • Proven experience winning and leading complex governance projects.
  • ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA or equivalent qualification with robust corporate tax and accounting knowledge.
  • Ability to develop, coach, and lead staff while managing senior stakeholders.
  • Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and workshop skills for clients and colleagues.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication for effective client engagement.
  • Analytical skills and commercial acumen for pragmatic, value‑added advice.

  • Competence in managing multiple complex projects and client relationships simultaneously.
