Location: Hereford County Hospital

Hours: 37.5 per week - 4 on / 4 off

Pay Rate: £13.40 - £14.74 per hour

We're looking for a committed and professional Security Officer to join our team at Hereford County Hospital. In this essential role, you'll help maintain a safe, secure, and supportive environment for patients, visitors, and staff - ensuring the hospital can operate smoothly and safely at all times.

What You'll Do

• Provide a visible and reassuring security presence across the hospital
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents and emergencies
• Support clinical teams with challenging situations when required
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure safety, compliance, and incident prevention
• Assist with conflict resolution and de-escalation
• Complete accurate incident reports and maintain security records
• Uphold Sodexo's values and contribute to a safe, respectful environment

What You'll Bring

• Previous experience in a security role (hospital or public-facing environment desirable)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm, assertive, and professional in difficult situationsHigh level of awareness and attention to detail
• Ability to work a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
• Valid SIA licence (essential)
• A commitment to safety, service, and teamwork
