Security Officer
Location: Hereford County Hospital
Hours: 37.5 per week – 4 on / 4 off
Pay Rate: £13.40 – £14.74 per hour

We’re looking for a committed and professional Security Officer to join our team at Hereford County Hospital. In this essential role, you’ll help maintain a safe, secure, and supportive environment for patients, visitors, and staff – ensuring the hospital can operate smoothly and safely at all times.

What You’ll Do
- Provide a visible and reassuring security presence across the hospital
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents and emergencies
- Support clinical teams with challenging situations when required
- Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems
- Conduct regular patrols to ensure safety, compliance, and incident prevention
- Assist with conflict resolution and de-escalation
- Complete accurate incident reports and maintain security records
- Uphold Sodexo’s values and contribute to a safe, respectful environment
What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience in a security role (hospital or public-facing environment desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm, assertive, and professional in difficult situationsHigh level of awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to work a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
- Valid SIA licence (essential)
