Salary: £13.06 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Working Pattern: 5 out of 7 days in a week (Predominantly Mon-Fri) 07:00 - 15:30

You'll coordinate production schedules, maintain food safety excellence, and support seamless kitchen operations - all while contributing to a positive, motivated team environment.

What You'll Do:
- Maintain a safe, clean and hygienic kitchen, following all Health & Safety and food hygiene standards.
- Prepare high quality food to company and contract specifications, keeping accurate HACCP records.
- Manage ingredients responsibly, ensuring correct storage and temperature control.
- Work closely with senior chefs to support daily production and maintain food quality.
- Help receive and check deliveries when required.
- Keep all work areas clean, tidy and well organised at all times.
- Maintain excellent personal hygiene and professional standards.
- Communicate production updates and wastage information clearly.
- Take part in training and team meetings to support your development.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment.
- Report any safety issues, accidents or irregularities immediately.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and according to training.
What You Bring:
Essential:
- Prior staff supervision or line management experience
- Strong knowledge of fresh produce and ingredient preparation
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and the ability to enforce them
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen environment
- Positive leadership, professionalism, and a passion for food
- Hold basic food handling certifications, including:
- NVQ Level 2
- Level 2 Food Safety Certificate
- At least one year of hands-on cooking experience (Training in Food Hygiene and Health & Safety provided)
